One City, Very Different Houses
Auckland is one place on a map and several different jobs when it comes to electrical work. A villa in Mount Eden or Grey Lynn is a century old and may still be running on the fuse board it was renovated around in the 1980s. A brick-and-tile in Glenfield or Pakuranga is sixty years old and has never had an RCD. A new home in Hobsonville Point or Flat Bush is being wired from scratch and should be ready for solar and an EV charger before the linings go on. An apartment in the city has a body corporate to work with and a plant room three floors down.
What that means in practice is that we ask where the job is and what the house is before we quote, because it changes what we will find and what we will recommend. We are based in Mount Eden, so the central suburbs are minutes away, and the rest of Auckland is a motorway drive we make every week.

Home base. The villas and bungalows of Mount Eden, Kingsland, Sandringham, Grey Lynn and Ponsonby are a century old, and a lot of them still run on the wiring and fuse boards they were renovated around decades ago. Switchboard upgrades, rewires and new kitchen circuits are the everyday work here.

Apartments, offices, shops and hospitality fit-outs from the waterfront to Newmarket and Parnell. Body corporate access, isolation planning and work outside trading hours are part of the job in the city, and we plan for them.

Takapuna, Devonport, Milford, Glenfield and up to Albany and Long Bay. A big stock of 1960s and 70s brick-and-tile homes now due a switchboard, alongside new builds on the northern edge that want EV charging and solar-ready wiring from day one.

Henderson, Te Atatū, Massey, Hobsonville Point and Kumeū. The north-west is where much of Auckland's new housing is going in, so new-build fit-outs, heat pumps and data cabling for new homes make up a lot of the work out here.

Howick, Botany, Pakuranga, Half Moon Bay and Bucklands Beach. Established family homes where a heat pump, a home theatre or better wifi is the job, and the older houses along the coast where the switchboard is overdue.

The North Shore, West Auckland, South Auckland and East Auckland we cover every week. If you are further out - the Hibiscus Coast, Rodney, Pukekohe or the Franklin side - ring us anyway.
